She is an experienced body modification practitioner and educator specializing in advanced shamanic/energetic techniques, anatomical literacy, ethical practice, and integrative body modification education.
Shauna’s work is grounded in a methodology she refers to as working body modification. This approach understands tattooing and body modification not as isolated procedures, but as living processes that continue to interact with the body long after the modification itself is complete.
In her practice, tattoos and body modifications are approached as intentional interventions that work on multiple levels—physical, mental, and energetic—and continue to support the change, healing, or transformation the individual was seeking. The body does not stop responding once the procedure ends; rather, the modification becomes part of the body’s ongoing dialogue, influencing awareness, integration, and personal evolution over time.
Shauna supports clients and students in understanding what is being brought forward internally that creates the desire for a particular modification. She teaches how experiences such as pain, surrender, and acceptance—when approached consciously and ethically—can act as teachers within the transformation process, rather than obstacles to be avoided.
